CLASS INFORMATION

Description of a typical Glory Yoga class:

Glory yoga always starts and ends with a resting pose so that we can truly focus our minds on Christ.

Bible verse, reflection, prayer and intentional use of the breath are all an important part of our Christ-centered yoga.

As we begin our Yoga practice we warm up the body first with wonderful stretches and then move into our deeper poses as we get our hearts pumping..

We always include a balancing pose or two with our practice as well as core, thigh and spine strengtheners.

We finish again with stretching, resting pose, reflection, prayer and a lovely spritz of aromatherapy…

You will feel relaxed, renewed and revived!

General Class Information

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are a wonderful way to get one on one instruction and to have your particular needs as a yoga student met.  Private lessons can be at my home studio or at your home. Privates also work with your schedule if one of my classes does not meet the needs of your schedule.

Private lesson rates range from $40 (at my home) – $60.
Rates change according to location and the amount of preparation that I put into your lesson.

You can also invite a friend or two to join you for a semi-private lesson to make the lesson even more affordable.  For example if it is a $45 lesson for 3 of you, you each pay only $15 per lesson.

Testimonial from Dan, a private student of mine since 2010:

“Intermittent low back pain had afflicted me for over twenty years, when my doctor recommended I try yoga.  I took a yoga class at a local studio that began to loosen me up, but the low back pain still continued on and off.  Then my wife, who had heard about MB from a friend introduced us.  MB came to our house and custom-tailored a yoga practice to address my specific low back, hip and shoulder issues.  Within the first six months, I began to experience sustained relief and now three years later, my back, hips and shoulders feel better than they did in my twenties – all thanks to MB’s insightful, integrated yoga practice!”

Cost for a Glory Yoga class:

In-person classes are $8. Pay for each class individually or buy a package of 8 for $64. (Pay at class).

Online Zoom classes are $7 each. (contact MB at [email protected] for Zoom link and payment options).

Beginners Tips:

Bring a mat and a bottle of water but try to hydrate beforehand as much as possible.

If you don’t have a mat, please let me know ahead of time and I will be happy to provide that for you, as a loaner, at no charge.

Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily stretch in.

Do not eat a heavy meal before class.  Heavy meals should be 2-3 hours before class.  A very light meal, like a smoothie or fruit up to an hour before should be okay but see how your body does with that.

Please refrain from wearing strong perfume to class.

You will be required to complete a registration form prior to taking your first class.  If you have any health issues or injuries that might interfere with yoga please discuss this with your doctor before your first class.

Remember that consistency is one of the keys to yoga.   Having a strong, flexible body does not happen overnight.  You can’t take one or two classes and decide whether or not yoga will work for you. It is a process and a journey…so take your time, be consistent and then see the great benefits!
